Birth Services

As your birth doula I will take the time to get to know you and your partner, if you have one. I will be there to support you to give birth exactly as you choose. I will help to create a calm and relaxing environment with you as the birthing woman/person at the centre. I will also be there for continuous emotional and practical support for your birth partner.

My birth package included:

  • An initial free consultation
  • Two antenatal visits so that we can get to know one another, develop your birth plan and wishes for after your birth
  • Support you in exploring all options available to you
  • Attend appointments with you, if you wish
  • Signpost you to excellent resources
  • I will be on call from when you reach 38 weeks until the birth of your baby
  • Continuous practical and emotional support for you and your family during your labour and birth and until you have your baby in your arms
  • Two postnatal visit to reflect your birth experience, celebrate the birth of your baby and offer further practical or emotional support
  • Unlimited text and email support throughout your pregnancy and until 6 weeks after the birth of your baby.

I met Jo when my son was 5 days old at a breastfeeding support group as I was struggling in the first few days of feeding and needed help. Jo is nothing short of a completely exceptional woman. She was born to support women and this shines through in absolutely everything she does. Jo explores avenues that you may not have even known were an option, yet somehow you never feel like you’re not in the driving seat.
