Breastfeeding support
Breastfeeding is at the heart of what I do, I am a trained Breastfeeding Counsellor and am able to use these skills to support you as you learn to breastfeed your baby and overcome challenges, if they occur, along the way.
I can support you from day one with your baby and support you in getting things off to a good start, as you move through your breastfeeding journey with your baby, we can work together to navigate challenges if they occur.
No matter what the age of your baby or babies, please do get in touch to discuss how I can help.
I am able to support with:
- Preparing to breastfeed
- Positioning and attachment
- Concerns around baby’s behaviour at the breast
- Sore nipples/uncomfortable breastfeeding
- Babies who are slow to gain weight
- Engorgement and mastitis
- Supply issues
- Expressing
- Supplemental feeding and topping up
- Practical tips around breastfeeding with old siblings around
- Recognising the signs and symptoms of tongue tie and signposting to a skilled specialist practitioner who can support you further
- Breastfeeding basics after a tongue tie division
- Weaning/Stopping breastfeeding
